2016 Match Rules and Information
Note!
All guns must remain unloaded and bagged, or boxed, until on the firing line and the command to load has been given by a Range Officer.
Firearms Safety Rules
Shooters MUST Abide by the Four Cardinal Rules of Gun Safety
Additional Rules
No Competition Guns, Gear, or Accessories will be permitted. Please do not ask.
Factory New Ammunition Only, No Reloaded Ammunition Permitted.
Absolutely No Alcoholic Beverages Permitted on Premises.
No Toy Guns, Airsoft Guns, Pellet Guns, BB Guns, Replicas, etc., will be Permitted on Premises.
All participants should wear appropriate range attire, i.e.; No open collared shirts, low cut tops, open toe shoes.
All participants must provide their own safety equipment such as eye protection and ear protection.
All participants, guests, and visitors will be required to sign a Liability Waiver Agreement.
Loading/unloading of firearms is permitted only under supervision of a Range Safety Officer.
Violation of any Range Rules, Disorderly Conduct or, any display of careless handling is grounds for disqualification.
Range Officials reserve the right to refuse, remove, disqualify, or eject any person at any time, for any reason.
The Chief Range Safety Officer shall make final determination in all matters.
Courses of Fire
Match will consist of Four Courses of Fire.
All Courses of Fire will be accuracy based, timed events, from a stationary position.
Significant penalties will be assessed for misses.
Shooters will be given adequate time to reload between Match stages.
Divisions:
Law Enforcement: Current, Former or, Retired Law Enforcement Officers, to include Reserves, Constables and, Military Police Officers.
Competitor: anyone having ever participated in any formal shooting competition; i.e., IDPA, IPSC, GSSF, NRA, Bullseye, Steel Challenge, etc., including previous SPCA Charity Shoots
CWP: anyone with a Concealed Weapon Permit, having never fired in any shooting competition.
New Shooter: anyone who does not possess a CWP and, having never fired in any competition.
Note! To ensure a fair and fun time for all, please select the proper division. “Sandbagging”, or shooting outside of your proper division, will be grounds for disqualification and forfeiture of all prizes and awards.
Event is open to all shooters age 12 and up, Junior Shooters (age 12-17) must have a Parent present.
Note to LEO’s / CWP Holders
Law Enforcement Officers and CWP Holders who are not competing are encouraged to carry their firearms accordingly on premises; however, firearms must remain holstered at all times. CWP holders must carry in a manner compliant with State Laws. Unloading of firearms during the competition, in order to compete, will not be permitted. Those who wish to compete must unload their firearms prior to arrival and transport it unloaded, boxed or bagged, until on the firing line and given the command to load.

Gates open at 8am. All registrants MUST be signed in and registered BY 9am. Registrants who miss the 9am Range Safety Brief will not be permitted to shoot and will forfeit entry fees.
A $5.00 Gate donation to the SPCA will be required for entry by all non-participants. Vendors, SPCA Staff, and Range staff will be exempt.
All participants, guests, vendors, staff, etc., must sign a liability form and receive a handstamp.
We are unable to process Credit or Debit Cards. Please bring CASH ONLY on the day of the event.
ALL PROCEEDS go to the Frances R. Willis SPCA
All persons will abide by all Local, State, and Federal Regulations.

Food and Drinks will be available during the Event. No coolers please.

- Always treat all guns as if they are loaded!
- Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until on target and ready to fire.
- Know your target and what lies beyond it.

- Gun Bag or Box
- Two (2) magazines or speedloaders
- 100 Rounds Factory New Ammunition
- Eye and Ear Protection
- Appropriate range attire
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Bug spray
- Hand towel
- Chair
- Shade tent or umbrella
